It is my goal this week to start listing the large amounts of items that I have made in the previous weeks for the Tarot day – not an easy task considering that listing bores me to death and that I’d always rather be stitiching, painting, mixing herbs or simply doing nothing LOL. Here are today’s listings:
Erzulie Dantor Powder

Erzulie, the voodoo Goddess of Love and Passion, blesses this powder recipe, which has red rose powdered petals as its main ingredients, being this flower her favorite type. Spices like cinnamon, cardamom and other sensual and powerful perfume oils are added, and the mix is grinded separately and then put together in my mortar, where it receives a love spell before being stored.
Use a pinch of this on your shoes to step over love competitors, or sprinkle your love one’s workplace, so he/she steps over the powder and becomes conjured by your attraction. There are many uses and your imagination puts the limits – but beware! The powder is not edible so do NOT put it on anyone’s food – AND do not use it on flirts, or you’ll never be free from them! Erzulie does not disapprove flirts of course
– but this powder is too powerful for that situation.
If you think there is distance between you and your lover, sprinkle it on your bed to inflame passion and union. Even if you think your couple is doing well, a little of this on the bed could give you a night to remember!!!
Draco Dracaena Tree Seeds

The Draco Dracaena tree, where the Dragon’s Blood resin incense is made, is one of the endemic species of the Canary Islands. These seeds were wildcrafted about a month ago and I have already planted them to test their freshness – my dragos are growing wonderfully! The Drago (as it is called here) is a powerful protection tree that can take as long as 15 years to produce its first flowering and seeding. I think it is a must in every witch’s garden as the dragon is a symbol of luck, protection, strength and magick.
Planting directions: the seeds are covered with a hard shell to go through the digestive tract of birds untouched as they have a red berry that is much loved by big birds. It is very recommended to damp them in a paper towel with water for 24-48 hours before planting them to soften the hard shell. They need a warm environment to sprout and can take up to 30 days to show the first seedling, if given enough warmth. They can be planted outside, but should always be protected from snow and extreme cold – as this plant takes a long way to grow, it can be kept in a pot and put inside the house during winters. Loves full sun and does not need much watering – remember these are african islands, so watering every 4 days should be more than enough in milder climates. It grows wonderfully on areas where there is mist at night, because the thick leaves absorb a lot of atmosferic humidity.
Four Thieves Vinegar

The story of the four Thieves Vinegar goes back to the european Black Plague. Four thieves entered the houses of the dying to steal their goods – when captured, they were asked how did they not become infected with the plague. They answered they had been given a lotion made of vinegar and herbs that protected them from being infected.
This is one of the many examples of how a real medicine becomes a magickal potion too. The herbs used in the vinegar are antibiotic, antiseptic, vermicidal and heals bites of insects. Its magick properties are analogic: it protects from evil eye and negative spirits, it cleanses houses and people and can be used to repel all negativity when added to the water you use to clean the house. 15 ml. bottle, enough for several uses as only a few drops are needed.
Medicinal Herb Alcohol

This is my personal recipe for a medicinal alcohol that has been brewing in the Witch’s closet for ever a year. It is made to be applied as a massage alcohol over bruises, aching muscles and tired legs that need to reactivate blood circulation. I have a cervical lesion due to tattooing and it works wonders on my crimpled neck!
Herbs like artemisa, rosemary, rue and many others are steeped in the dark of the Witch’s room in 90º alcohol and then filtered after a year. I have found it is also a wonderful cleaner after my Tarot readings, rubbing a bit on my hands and forehead. It cleans my channels from the negativity absorbed from customers. It is also very useful to clean troubled aural energies.
ATTENTION!!! – external use only. Do not apply over open wounds, irritated/burned skin or near mucous/genital areas.
Unopened Buzio (Cowrie) Shells

Buzio shells, also called cowries, were used as money by the Yorubas, and are now part of the Orisha buzio oracle. To be effective, the buzio shells must be unopened, unlike the ones used in jewelry which have an open back and are worthless for magic.
The tradition says that when you get three shells, you must keep one and give the other two as presents to make your amulet really effective. This is a wonderful amulet for money related issues, to keep your business growing and, of course, to be added to any money/work spells or mojo bags as a powerful addition.
You can find all these items at The Hoodoo Shop at Etsy.
