Valentine’s Magic

February 12, 2011 by Carolina González

New candles, ready for custom spellwork. The upcoming Valentine’s day seems to be stirring something among customers every year – requests for love spells have been the theme of the week.

No Valentine’s day would be complete without a little love magick – here are a few simple recipes everyone can perform to capture the energy of this beautiful day:

Love Spell To Ask Ochum For A New Lover
On your mortar, mix:
- A spoonful of dry pumpkin leaves, powdered;
- A spoonful of sandalwood, powdered;
- A spoonful of Iris root, powdered;
- Five Hibiscus flowers, powdered.
Add a spoonful of honey, five drops of rose oil and five drops of Ochum Oil. Make pellets with the mix and let them dry for a couple of weeks. Once the pellets have dried, offer one every Friday to Ochum, along with a golden candle and any other of her favourite offerings: fruits, flowers, food, etc. To burn the pellet, place it on a self-lighting charcoal.

Love Spell To Ask Yemanya To Bless A Relationship (when family and rivals get in between)
On a surface covered with a blue cloth, place three glass cups (wine cups are fine); one filled with sea water (or salted water if you’re not near the sea), one filled with Indigo Water and one filled with white wine or champagne. In front of the cups, light a blue candle for five days, using a new candle each day. As with the previous spells, adding any other of Yemaya’s favourite offerings is encouraged.

Pomba Gira’s Love Bath To Improve Sensuality And Attraction
In a cotton/tea bag, mix:
- a handful of fresh red rose petals;
- a teaspoon of Pomba Gira powders;
- a teaspoon of powdered cinnamon;
- a teaspoon of fennel seeds;
- a teaspoon of India Rosa Oil;
Before taking the bath with the mixture, offer a red rose, a red candle and a glass of red wine to Pomba Gira. Place the bag on your bath and enjoy!
