Holy Week Images II

April 26, 2011 by Carolina González

Wednesday
Started the recipe book my aunt gave me making a Tudor scroll on the first page. The handwriting is hers.

The first recipe we added was Beer Bread – a new recipe for us, but it’s going to become an everyday thing I’m afraid! We added shredded cheese and ham and of course a handful of herbs – rosemary, oregano and thyme – to the original recipe. Perfection!

The rest of the day was devoted to drawing. I added two drawings to the recipe book; on the first one, I copied the Saint Michael image from an orthodox icon I found somewhere online and added the frames. The second is just a copying exercise, using The Tambourine Player by Emile Vernet Lecomte. (note: the paper is not that yellow).

Thursday
Started the sketches for a new painting based on the lore about King Solomon.

Friday
Altar clean up, candle work for a customer, and the start of a new batch of jewelry for the Sangre De Drago shop (pics of that on a future post).

Saturday and Sunday – no pics, just resting, watching old horror movies and getting ready to go back to work :).

Sorry dear, that’s a secret! I have already seen too many ripoffs of our products on Etsy.

Thanks everyone else for your comments!
