Seven African Powers Bracelets – back by customers’ demand!

Bracelet with the colours of the Seven African Powers – white for Obatala, yellow for Ochum, red for Shango, purple for Oya, blue for Yemanya, green for Oggum and black for Eleggua. Wear it to honour the Orishas and get their protection, specially when you feel negative energy is too much around you! Bracelets are made with a wire core, double wrapped for extra durability and with a secure lobster clasp. I have added to each bracelet a handmade African Fair Trade clay bead – they are all different, making a unique piece of each bracelet.

Eye Of Protection – One Of A Kind Charm Bracelet And Earrings Set

Set of bracelet and earrings featuring seven gorgeous eye charms – the eye charm is used mainly as a protection against negativity and curses, but it is also a symbol of deity’s providence. The blue and red glass dangles also follow the tradition of Mediterranean evil eye charms, as these strong, positive colours enhance the magical power of the metal charms.

Hand Of Fatima / Hamsa Bracelet And Earrings Set – Available In Red, Blue And Green

The Hand Of Fatima / Hand Of Miriam/Mary / Hamsa amulet is probably the most extended and used protection amulets of the Mediterranean magic, as it is used by Muslims, Jews and Catholics alike. This charm is used both as a protection against evil eye and curses, as well as a bringer of good luck and fortune. To add even more positive power to each of these sets, a handmade evil eye glass bead has been placed in the middle of the bracelet.

Catholic Rosary I – Marie

This rosary is a reduced version of a regular Catholic rosary – ten beads for the Hail Mary prayers and one for the Lord’s Prayer, which is to be repeated five times. This type of rosary is more portable than a regular 50 + 5 bead rosary, without losing any of its power as a protection amulet. This unique piece features a beautiful winged cross, symbol of Angelic power and of the Holy Spirit, and the connection charm depicts the Jesus Of The Sacred Heart on one side, and Mary Of The Sacred Heart on the other. All beads are faceted aubergine glass, a colour strongly related to Christianity – in Spanish, this colour is often called “Nazarene Purple”, because many images of Christ are dressed in this colour, as well as the clothes of the Nazarenes, the penitents that accompany the processions during the Holy Week.

Ekeko Set

Ekeko is one of the Central America gods of abundance – dressed as a travelling seller packed with goods, he is much revered in Santeria and every house and business has one to protect them in all areas.I have worked with him extensively and he is very generous!

These sets have been created completely from scratch by us. The Ekeko figurine (about 1,5 inches tall) was handsculpted and painted resembling the traditional ones, and the word “Suerte” (Luck) written in his belly. Besides the figurine, the set contains several items to offer to him:
- Three Orisha Money banknotes, so you always have financial abundance;
- A bag with lentils, rice, corn grains and one African fava bean, so you always have food on your table;
- A cowrie shell, to unblock your paths;
- Three beautiful Mulberry paper roses: red for romantic love, pink for family love, and white for spiritual love;
- A miniature wine bottle, so you always have something to celebrate;
- A charm holding three Huayruro seeds and a horseshoe, so you are always lucky.
- A vial of Abundance oil, for anointing candles, mojo bags, or even yourself.

You can also add any offerings you want – some traditional offerings are rum, cigars and cigarrettes, sweets, coins, small toys, and anything that represents your wishes.
The tray and the candle are NOT included – it is a suggestion of how to present the items in your home.

Santa Muerte Altar Box

Handpainted wooden box, 11 x 7 x 5 cms./ 4.2 x 2.7 x 1.9 inches. Painted dark green on the outside and sage green on the inside, and depicting the Santísima Muerte / Holy Death / Iku. This could be perfect for a shell/bone/rune oracle, to store incense or stones, or to be offered as a gift on your Ancestor Altar /Boveda Espiritual. One Of A Kind.

Spiritual Herbal Bath – Seven African Powers

Seven powerful, organic, homegrown and wildharvested herbs are united in this bath, representing the Seven African Powers. This bath is made to eliminate negativity, cleanse your energy, unblock your paths and tune with the energy of the Orishas. The herbs are:

Eleggua – Wormwood: unblocks the paths;
Obatala – Oak Tree: gives stability and clarity;
Yemaya – Almond Tree: brings creativity and love;
Ochum – Orange Tree: brings passion and sweetness;
Oya – Lavender: brings business and connects with Ancestors;
Chango – Fig Tree: brings strength and justice;
Oggum – Wild Grapevine: brings endurance and truth.

How to use it:
Option 1 – make a tea out of the herbs, let steep for seven mintes and strain. Take your regular bath and after you have finished pour it over your head and body while still warm; dry yourself gently, patting on the skin or leave it to air dry if temperaure allows.
Option 2 – pour the herbs on a muslin bag and place in the hot water of your bath. Immerse yourself in the water three times. Remember not to add any soap, herbal salts or any other bath product to the water (so we recommend you shower before doing it). Dry yourself gently, patting on the skin or leave it to air dry if temperaure allows.

Just a quick note to let all our customers know that all available herbs and herbal items have been revised and relisted, except for the Sunrise and Visionary Tinctures, which will be retired permanently from our stock – I have to say that those have been retired because of the alcohol content, and not for the herbal content. Of course, all medical information has been removed from the listings.

I would also like to add that we have been asked if we are leaving Etsy – and the answer is no. Unless Etsy explicitly forbids the selling of metaphysical items, we will adapt to their rules and stay there until we find a better solution for us. We are quite aware that YOU, our readers and customers, are highly educated and know what you are buying, so we are not afraid of losing sales because of this. As long as we are allowed, we will continue to offer our organic herbs and herbal products. While we both have a really strong opinion against monopolies, be it cultural, medical or economical monopolies, Etsy is our only income and we simply will not risk the roof above our heads and the food on our table.

I want to say a huge thank you to all the customers and friends who have emailed us or commented showing their support – you are the best!

We have just been informed by Etsy (by private email and by general announcement here) that several of our items did not comply with Etsy’s policies about “medical drug claims” and should be retired.

First, we have not been told which items, so our guess has gone to the herbal section, where we have deactivated all listings but the incenses. I cannot quote the email because Etsy’s privacy would be violated, but from what I understand from their VERY vague explanation, any product that makes the claim to have a medicinal use will not be allowed on Etsy anymore.

We will be able to relist the herbs as magical supplies, removing all medicinal information, but we won’t be selling tinctures, ointments, teas or anything similar, at least until we know more of these new policies. We understand every selling venue has their own rules, and if you want to stay on it, you must comply with them – Etsy is not known for listening to sellers, and I do not expect anything from them. We simply cannot risk losing our only income, so once again we’ll pay for the senselessness.

For us, is a very small part of our sales anyway, but I am sure many friends whose shops are mostly based on herbal medicine are not happy today. This happened about half an hour ago, so we’re still waiting for Etsy’s admins and sellers to voice their opinion on the forums, on Facebook or anywhere else – we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Edited, Thursday August 9 – another forum discussion here about the policy changes, not that it clears much, but the conversation seems to have moved to it.

Edited, Thursday August 9 – Etsy Admin Lauren Engelhardt has posted this on the discussion:

“(several sellers) have raised questions about “spiritual” or “metaphysical” claims.

The policy prohibits medical drug claims about an item, so if the listing is making claims that the product may cure or treat a mental illness, that would be prohibited. Claims for spiritual effects are not necessarily considered medical drug claims.
(…)
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the policy pertains to all listings on Etsy. A seller may not make claims that using their product (whatever the item may be) correlates with the cure or relief of a health condition or illness.”

Starting today, Thursday August 2, and until supplies last (those pictured are exactly the ones we have), every order* will receive one of these gorgeous Eye Of Providence charms. I have enhanced the charms with red glass beads because I think red is a wonderful colour for luck, expansion and strength, elements that compliment the Eye Of Providence charm, which is an ancient symbol of protection, wealth and empowerment. Bride Of Avalon

Making jewelry for Pagan brides is among my favourite types of work – and this necklace was screaming “bride” since the first sketch – but, I have to say, I can see this necklace being worn on many other occasions!
Stones – Labradorite (cleanses negativity and enhances psychic abilities) and fluorite (shielding and balance). All other beads are czech glass.
Total length (of neck width) is 44 cms/ 17,5 inches, so the piece fits even the bigger sizes. It can be shortened at request.

Garden Of Dragons

A striking combination of brass, green and purple is the main feature of this necklace, which flows around a butterfly medallion. The camera doesn’t make the depth and warmth of the tones justice, and the Dragon’s Agate beads are so beautiful, they truly deserved a photoshoot of their own!
Stones – Aventurine (healing and courage), and Dragon’s Vein Agate (empowerment and wisdom). All other beads are czech glass, and two gorgeous handpainted ceramic owl beads.
Total length (of neck width) is 52 cms/ 20.2 inches, so the piece fits even the bigger sizes. It can be shortened at request.
